Have your say on protecting care records
Archives New Zealand are looking to finalise the definition of care records. The definition looks at which types of records may be needed by people who have had experience with State and non-State care (including faith-based), to protect their rights and understand their life stories.
The definition is needed so organisations know what needs to be protected in the short term and well managed in the future.
A page dedicated to the definition of care records and seeking feedback is now live at https://www.archives.govt.nz/manage-information/have-your-say-on-protecting-care-records.
A questionnaire is available to complete and leave additional thoughts.
The last date for comment will be 18 November 2023.
